Senior Design Engineer Mechanical
Working within the Design Delivery function and reporting to the Design Delivery Lead – SWSOS Decarbonisation, the Senior Design Engineer will work on Gas Networks Ireland’s Decarbonisation Projects in Scotland and will have responsibility for the detailed design of the Electric Machine Drive Compressors and associated components such as suction and discharge pipework, coolers, metering etc.

Pipelines GIS Technician
Reporting to the Pipelines Lead, the Pipelines GIS Technician will work on aspects of pipeline liner assets for Dx and occasionally Tx, inclusive of capturing assets within the digital software used to record assets (GIS, ESRI etc.) The role requires producing maps to facilitate the needs of our colleagues and customers, e.g. wayleave maps, design drawing etc. The Pipeline GIS Technician will work within a team of skilled Project GIS Specialists supporting the Project Delivery process within Digital Design Services.

Construction Engineer – Southern Region
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. The Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design and project planning, to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations.
Reporting to the Senior Project Delivery Engineer (NSWC / DX Pipelines), the Construction Engineer (NSWC / DX Pipelines) will be responsible for overseeing the construction delivery elements of specific NSWC and DX pipeline projects issued to Asset Delivery by the Portfolio Office. Acting as the primary point of contact for escalations at Gate 3 relating to such work within his/her region.
The Construction Engineer will act as a point of consultation for internal stakeholders across the Connections Coordination, Design Delivery and Project Services teams; to assist with the successful development and delivery of projects.
The Construction Engineer within asset delivery is responsible for overseeing the onsite execution of works.
