Design Category Specialist
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. The Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design and project planning ,to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations.
Reporting to the Design Interface and Assurance Lead, the Design Category Specialist will support engineers in gathering and coordinating technical content to feed into a procurement process to procure materials and services for capital projects across the gas network. This will involve completing request for quotation documents, coordinating with wider Supply Chain teams to enable pricing and technical documents to issue to the market and support the evaluation process. The role will support enablement of contracts, material, or service framework agreements, following up queries on tax, legal or insurances with Supply Chain teams.
This role requires a highly organised, results driven individual who can coordinate activities, drive outputs, problem solve, energetic through taking ownership to support engineering teams, the candidate will need strong communication and relationship management skills.

Project Delivery Engineer (DX Programmes)
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. Reporting to the Project Delivery Lead, the Project Delivery Engineer will be responsible for supporting the end to end planning and delivery of DX high volume projects/programmes issued to their respective workstream by the Portfolio Office. The Project Delivery Engineer will work closely with key internal stakeholders across the Portfolio Office, Asset Management, Technical Development & Technical Training, Design Delivery and Project Services teams; to drive the successful development and delivery of these projects from Gate 2 through to Gate 4.
