Networks Specialist
The Asset Operations function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the construction, operations and maintenance of the Transmission and Distribution networks, executing all field work safely and efficiently in line with all relevant legislation, standards, industry codes and practices. The Network Operations team within Asset Operations is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the transmission and distribution networks. Applications are now invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Networks Specialist. Reporting to the Siteworks Services Manager or their delegate, the Networks Specialist is responsible for the delivery of construction, commissioning, operational, maintenance and decommissioning activities on Natural Gas Pipeline, Pressure Control and Metering Assets on the transmission and distribution networks in a safe and efficient manner.
Quality Auditor
The Health, Safety, Quality (HSQ) function within GNI is responsible for the ongoing management and enhancement of the Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems to best in class standards. This is achieved by focusing on all aspects of occupational and process safety, quality, environmental and risk management. The HSQ Delivery Team within HSQ is responsible for delivering the HSQ site inspection programme for Construction and Operations/Maintenance Programmes. The overall programme must satisfy the requirements of the GNI HSQE policies whilst being dynamic, risk focused and supporting integration of the various management systems within GNI. The HSQ Delivery team deliver the HSQ performance measurement across GNI and provide reporting and analysis to support HSQ management and the wider GNI business in developing strategies for continuous improvement. Reporting to the Field Programmes Delivery Manager, this position will involve the performing of site audits/inspections on the work of contractors/GNI personnel, highlighting action areas and liaising with them in terms of quality.
Renewable Gas Sales Manager
The Customer Acquisitions (CA) team, positioned within the Customer & Business Development (CBD) pillar of Gas Networks Ireland, is responsible for increasing customer connections and delivering sales growth within GNI. The Large Industrial & Renewable Gas Sales Team is responsible for growing incremental connections to the gas network for both significant gas consumption consumers and renewable gas supplies to the gas network. The Renewable Gas Sales Manager will report directly to the Large Industrial and Renewable Gas Sales Manager with responsibility for delivering sales plans to drive incremental connections with renewable gas producers for infrastructure to inject renewable gas into the gas network, delivering towards GNI’s decarbonisation and growth targets. The role requires negotiating large value connection contracts with corporate counterparties, managing a team of sales people to offer best-in-class customer service and seeking to implement continuous improvement initiatives across the sales process to ensure GNI provides excellent levels of service and customer experience. Key to this role will be developing and motivating a high-performance sales team to proactively engage with market stakeholders to uncover additional opportunities, while collaborating with colleagues and departments internally within GNI to provide positive effective proposals and solutions to our customers.
Hydrogen Programme Analyst
Reporting to the Hydrogen Commercial Manager, the Programme Analyst will coordinate collaborative projects both with external stakeholders and internal departments and will assist in the development of business plans and assessments and support the development of the Hydrogen Programme in Gas Networks Ireland.
Renewable Gas Sales Representative
The Business Development function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for developing and implementing the commercial strategies of Gas Networks Ireland to ensure sustainable growth into the future. The Customer Acquisition Team is part of the Business Development Team and is focused on increasing demand by maximising the potential of the existing gas network by encouraging additional connections to the Distribution and Transmission networks across the industrial, commercial, transport (compressed natural gas) and housing sectors. The Customer Acquisition Team is also responsible for proactively seeking opportunities to connect biomethane producers (Anaerobic Digestion facilities) to enable injection of renewable gas in to the gas network to assist in decarbonising the gas network. The Renewable Gas Sales Representative will be responsible for proactively identifying additional biomethane development opportunities while fostering best-in-class sales techniques to convert opportunities into contracts for incremental biomethane development which shall inject biomethane into the gas network (either directly into the network or by central grid injection facilities). Reporting to the Renewable Gas Sales Manager, the Renewable Gas Sales Representative will demonstrate a high degree of commercial awareness, industry technical expertise and have a customer centric approach with the ability to nurture enduring relationships with key decision makers. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proven track record in dealing with energy projects from planning to contract execution.
Policy Analyst
The Regulation function is responsible for ensuring Gas Networks Ireland is compliant with all its regulatory obligations in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and in the UK. It is also responsible for the operation and development of the retail and wholesale gas markets in the Republic of Ireland in conjunction with the CRU and market participants. The Regulatory Framework function includes Regulatory Affairs, Wholesale Market, European Affairs and Policy. The Policy Analyst will report to the EU Affairs and Policy Manager and will have responsibility for supporting policy work in collaboration with the rest of the policy team.
Policy Manager (Decarbonisation)
The Regulation function is responsible for ensuring Gas Networks Ireland is compliant with all its regulatory obligations in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and in the UK. It is also responsible for the operation and development of the retail and wholesale gas markets in the Republic of Ireland in conjunction with the CRU and market participants. The Regulatory Framework function includes Regulatory Affairs, Wholesale Market, European Affairs and Policy. Reporting to the EU Affairs and Policy Manager, the Policy Manager (Decarbonisation) will analyse energy market sectors and engage with key national stakeholder to influence and drive national energy policy. The Policy Manager (Decarbonisation) will lead development of key policy consultations within GNI.
Pensions - HR Operations Analyst
Residing in the HR team, the Pensions/HR Operations Analyst will be dealing with a mix of a Defined Benefit and a Defined Contribution Scheme with assets totalling in excess of €500m, the role focusses on assisting the Registered Pensions Administrator on member queries, scheme administration, customer service, compliance/governance, third party provider and trustee engagement. The Pensions/HR Operations Analyst will also work with the wider HR team, managing official employee correspondence, ensuring the maintenance of all employee personnel records adhering to the Data Protection legislation and ensuring application of Gas Networks Ireland HR policies.
Gas Applications Analyst
The IT team within Gas Networks Ireland is an integral part of the business providing operational, and customer-focused IT services. These services include solution delivery, service management, and infrastructure & operations management. These services are provided through a combination of in-house resources and external service providers. Reporting to the Gas Applications Lead and working as part of the Gas Applications Team, the Gas Applications Analyst will help with the operation and support of gas applications and the delivery of changes to those applications.
Senior Design Engineer - Mechanical Tx
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end-to-end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. Encompassing the three pillars of Project Delivery Management, Design Delivery and Project Services; the Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design and planning, to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations. Reporting to the Design Delivery Lead Connections (Tx/Dx), the Senior Design Engineer Mechanical Transmission New Connections will have responsibility for the detailed design of CAPEX projects for all new network connections. The Senior Design Engineer will manage the design of the new connections and outsourced engineering providers ensuring a high quality design service is delivered within Design Delivery. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead a team, to effectively diagnose technical issues and have knowledge of gas related process design. The Senior Design Engineer Mechanical New Connections will work closely with the Senior C&I Design Engineer for New Connections to ensure the end to end design process is aligned to meet the overall new connection programme timelines within Design Delivery.

The Senior Design Engineer will manage the design element of projects (end to end) and outsourced engineering providers ensuring a high-quality design service is delivered within Design Delivery. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead a team, to effectively diagnose technical issues and have knowledge of gas related process design. The Senior Design Engineer E,C&I will work closely with Senior Design Engineer Mechanical to ensure the end to end design process is aligned to meet the overall project and programme timelines within Design Delivery.
