Project Delivery Analyst
The IT team within Gas Networks Ireland is an integral part of the business providing operational, and customer-focused IT services. These services include solution delivery, service management, and infrastructure & operations management. These services are provided through a combination of in-house resources and external service providers. The Project Delivery team within the IT team are responsible for delivering and maintaining a project delivery capability to enable the delivery of IT and Business projects to meet the needs of GNI. Reporting to the IT Project Delivery Manager, the Project Delivery Analyst is responsible for facilitating and championing internal processes to embed best practice methodologies to our portfolio of projects. The role will actively engage with Senior Project Managers within IT Project Delivery, as well as interfacing to other functions including Finance, Supply Chain, and the wider IT team
Field Operations Technician x2
The Asset Operations function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the construction, operations and maintenance of the Transmission and Distribution networks, executing all field work safely and efficiently in line with all relevant legislation, standards, industry codes and practices. The Network Operations team within Asset Operations is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the transmission and distribution networks. Applications are now invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Field Operations Technician. Reporting to the Networks Coordinator or their delegate, the Field Operations Technician is responsible for the delivery of construction, commissioning, operational, maintenance and decommissioning activities on Natural Gas Pipeline, Pressure Control and Metering Assets on the transmission and distribution networks in a safe and efficient manner.
Senior Project Delivery Engineer SWSOS
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. Encompassing the three pillars of Project Delivery Management, Design Delivery and Project Services the Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design, project planning, to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations. Reporting to the Project Delivery Lead – Compressor Programmes, the Senior Project Delivery Engineer – SWSOS will be responsible for the end to end planning and delivery of specific projects/programmes of work issued to the compressor workstream by the Portfolio Office. The successful candidate will work closely with key internal stakeholders across the Portfolio Office, Asset Management, Asset Operations, Design Delivery and Project Services teams. As part of a team you will lead and/or support the successful development and delivery of these projects from Gate 2 through to Gate 4. The role is based in Cork or Dublin but will involve oversight of Compressor Station or Above Ground Installation programmes of work that may be delivered in either Scotland or the Isle of Man. As such it requires regular travel to these areas of the GNI gas network.
Senior Project Delivery Engineer - CNG and CGI
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. Encompassing the three pillars of Project Delivery Management, Design Delivery and Project Services; the Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design and project planning, to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations. Reporting to the GNI CNG and CGI Delivery Manager, the main purpose of the role is to ensure optimum delivery of both design and construction for CNG and Biomethane Central Grid Injection (CGI) projects – a key pillar in GNI’s decarbonisation pathway. Through a multidisciplinary approach and close liaison with internal Departmental functions, customers, external service providers and stakeholders, the Senior Project Engineer will ensure that these projects are designed and built in the most efficient, cost-effective manner while aligned and compliant with technical standards and policies including sustainability.
Maintenance Planning Engineer
The Asset Operations function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Transmission and Distribution networks, executing all field work safely and efficiently in line with all relevant legislation, standards, industry codes and practices. The Network Operations team within Asset Operations is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the Transmission and Distribution networks. Reporting to the Maintenance Programming & Delivery Manager, the Maintenance Planning Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all planned maintenance programmes are setup in accordance with GNI asset management best practises and are optimised in Maximo to deliver operating efficiencies for programme delivery.
Estimation Engineer
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. Encompassing the three pillars of Project Delivery Management, Design Delivery and Project Services; the Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design and project planning, to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations. Reporting to the Estimation Manager, the Estimation Engineer is responsible for producing detailed designs and drawings, estimating the cost of projects, identifying work prerequisites including materials requirements, applying standardised design templates and developing bespoke design solutions for new designs where appropriate. The successful candidate will have: the ability to effectively diagnose technical issues and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams. The Estimation Engineer will also perform site visits as necessary.
