Head of Portfolio Office
The Portfolio Office function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for providing strategic direction, planning and oversight for the delivery of all capital and operational work within the organisation, enabling key decisions that will optimise the overall delivery of GNI’s portfolio of work. The office provides management, delivery and oversight in the areas of Portfolio Planning, Portfolio Assurance, Land and Statutory Consents Management and Commercial Management; whilst also acting as the gatekeeper and critical interface between potential investment programmes and commercial opportunities, and the core departments responsible for the delivery, operation, and maintenance of GNI’s assets. Reporting to the Director of Assets and Infrastructure, the Head of Portfolio Office will be responsible for the strategic oversight of the delivery of GNI’s portfolio of regulated and unregulated programmes of work. The successful candidate will have the ability to forge strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders and will identify and drive the organisational and cultural changes needed to adapt to evolving market and customer demands, as well as technology and internal initiatives. They will oversee portfolio progress and performance providing leadership and oversight to support decision-making. This is a senior leadership role within the organisation, overseeing a critical national business function while being a key facilitator in the transformation of Ireland's Gas Network towards a net zero energy system by 2050.
Siteworks Fitter
The Asset Operations function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the construction, operations and maintenance of the Transmission and Distribution networks, executing all field work safely and efficiently in line with all relevant legislation, standards, industry codes and practices. The Services Team within Service Delivery is responsible for managing all meter related work such as customer connections and relocations, meter maintenance, replacement, and decommissioning. Reporting to the Siteworks Supervisor, the Siteworks Fitter will conduct all work in the field including customer connect/relocate, maintain, replacement, and decommission. The siteworks fitter will use Maximo, Click and Syclo applications to manage their end to end work process.
Programme Delivery Manager
The IT team within Gas Networks Ireland is an integral part of the business providing operational and customer-focused IT services, which are provided through a combination of in-house resources and external service providers. The Strategy, Performance, and Delivery team is responsible for executing and maintaining robust governance across the GNI Project & Programme delivery portfolio. This portfolio consists of a diverse set of IT and business-centric projects and programmes delivered on behalf of the GNI business. Reporting to the Strategy, Performance and Delivery Manager, the Programme Delivery Manager will actively manage key IT or Business Programmes and provide Governance and Oversight across the other programmes on the Annual Portfolio. This role involves close collaboration with Senior stakeholders across the GNI business as well as with other IT teams and in particular with the Project Delivery, IT Value and Performance, and IT Architecture teams.
